2 arrested on drug charges

Last Wednesday, the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Steven Coash, 43, Big Lake and Kristie Kampa, 39, Big Lake for fifth degree possession of a controlled substance, negligent storage of a firearm and methamphetamine paraphernalia in the presence of a child. Coash was also arrested for a person prohibited from possessing a firearm. Members of the Drug Task Force (DTF), the Emergency Response Unit (ERU) and the Big Lake Police Dept. executed a search warrant in the 400 block of Ormsbee St in the City of Big Lake. During a search of the residence, methamphetamine, various prescription pills, a loaded firearm and drug paraphernalia were located. Coash and Kampa were arrested without incident and transported the Sherburne County Jail where they remain, pending arraignment.
