Heroin use clinics set at 2 locations

The Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office in partnership with Know the Truth will be hosting two community forums with a focus on heroin use and addiction.  
These events are open to anyone who is interested in learning more about heroin and other illegal drugs that are being used in our community.  The events will be held in the cities of Elk River and Becker on the following evenings;
-Wed, July 9 at the Elk River High School Zabee Theatre 7 to 9 p.m.
- Wed, July 30 at the Becker High School Auditorium 7 to 9 pm.  
Both events will consist of a panel discussion and an opportunity for attendees to ask questions of the panel.  
Members of the Sherburne County Attorney’s Office, The Elk River Police Dept, The Becker Police Dept, The Big Lake Police Dept and the Drug Enforcement Agency will be participants on the panel.  
These two forums are being sponsored by the Sherburne County Sub-stance Use Prevention Coalition.

THE CITY OF CLEARWATER is no longer accepting brush near the maintenance building on Co. Rd. 75. The maintenance crew is picking up brush the first Wednesday of each month with curbside pick-up. The site will be used for installation of a solar energy system. Residents can still drop off leaves and grass cuttings at the compost site behind the maintenance.
