OBITUARY - Michele Renee (Buss) Jackson


Michele Renee (Buss) Jackson, age 43 of Big Lake, passed away at her home on April 12, 2014.  Visitation will be Wednesday, April 16, 2014, from 5 PM to 8 PM at Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel, 250 East Broadway, Monticello, and also one hour prior to the funeral at the church on Thursday.  A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, 11 AM, at Riverside Church, 20314 Co Rd 14, Big Lake.  Interment will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery, Minneapolis. Funeral arrangements are with the Peterson-Grimsmo Chapel of Monticello.

Michele is survived by her loving husband John; beloved children Kayla, Johnny, Logan, and Nathaniel;  parents, Bob, Sr. and Linda (Peterson) Buss; brother Bobby (Kerri) Buss; 4 nieces and 1 nephew; sister-in-law Terry Johnston.  She was preceded in death by infant daughter Maya.



HISTORIC FIND. SCSU graduate student Jeff Williams is shown with copies of the Red Wing Republican Eagle newspaper that detail a week's worth of the fighting on Iwo Jima in 1945.
