Big Lakes Fire Chief Paul Nemes and Police Chief Joel Scharf addressed a meeting of the Big Lake Chamber Tuesday at Saron Lutheran Church.

The last concert in the Big Lake Legacy Foundation’s Music in the Park series, featuring Brat Pack Radio, was postponed until next week (Sept. 4) because of the weather forcast for Thursday evening. The summer concert series draws hundreds of people to Big Lake’s Lakeside Park every Thursday evening for free entertainment.

The winners of the Big Lake Police Dept. coloring contest, which took place at the Night to Unite picnic in Lakeside Park, were announced this week. “We had a whole wall full of entries,” said Chief of Police Joel Scharf. “All the officers voted on their favorites.”
Life Link III, which provides helicopter emergency transportation for CentraCare Health, has purchased six new helicopters — one to operate at each of their bases, plus a system spare, to ensure delivery of the highest quality of transport care.
