It wasn’t so long ago that the mention of the group of Masons living and working out of our community up here was an unusual thing to see or hear.

The 42nd annual Big Lake Spud Fest is over for another year. The tents are taken down. The carnival has moved on until next year.  The Big Lake Spud Fest committee can heave a sigh of relief and head home for a well-earned nap after months of organizing, planning and worrying about the weather or some other last minute hitch.

Air Force Airman Cody J. Vavrina graduated from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, TX.     The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills.

By Ken Francis Staff Writer The City of Clearwater has decided to update its Comprehensive Land Use Plan, which was last amended in 2006. The plan is a tool to guide future growth and development in and around the city.
