Kids meet the Great Brodini at the library

The Great Brodini brought his magic to the Big Lake Public Library this week to entertain an audience of about 50 youngsters plus their parents.

42nd Spud Fest starts Thursday

Big Lake’s Spud Fest kicks off this Thursday at 6 p.m. with carnival wrist band rides until close.

THE BIG LAKE SPUD FEST MEDALLION HAS BEEN FOUND in the third week of the hunt by John Muir and his grandson’s, Mike and Jimmie and granddaughter Elizabeth Johnson.

The Big Lake Spud Fest medallion has been found by long-time Big Laker and retired civics teacher John Muir and his grandchildren, Mike and Jimmy Muir and granddaughter Elizabeth Johnson.

THE CITY OF CLEARWATER is no longer accepting brush near the maintenance building on Co. Rd. 75. The maintenance crew is picking up brush the first Wednesday of each month with curbside pick-up. The site will be used for installation of a solar energy system. Residents can still drop off leaves and grass cuttings at the compost site behind the maintenance.
