Swim team ready for sections

Big Lake Hornets varsity swimmers and divers had a bye this week after taking second place at the True Team Invitational and defeating the Buffalo Bison last week.
The Junior Varsity team championship began Thursday and finished Friday night at Princeton, with teams from Buffalo, Cambridge-Isanti, Monticello, St. Michael Albertville (STMA), and Chisago Lakes taking part.
The varsity team is preparing for their section meet at Sauk Rapids Nov. 5 and 9. The Hornets have a record of 5-2 overall this season. Their only losses were to St. Michael Albertville and Monticello.
The Hornets are in Section 5A, competing against teams from Cloquet/Esko/Carlton, Proctor/Hermantown, Foley, Milaca, Sauk Rapids-Rice and  Zimmerman.
