Souther 50th at state cross country meet

Big Lake junior Nate Souther finished 50th at the state Class AA cross country meet at St. Olaf last Saturday in a time of 16:29.8.
It was Souther’s second trip to the state meet. Last year he finished 40th in 16:15.4.
Wayzata won the team title, edging Edina by 13 points.
Obsa Ali of Richfield won the individual championship in a time of 15:15.2. There were 178 runners in the race.
