NOTICE OF FILING
CLEARWATER TOWNSHIP
The Township of Clearwater, Wright County, Minnesota, will have an election of township officers at the General Election on Tuesday, November 4, 2014, at the town hall, to elect one supervisor for a four-year term and one clerk for a four- year term.  The terms of Bruce Sobotta, Supervisor A and Jean Just, Clerk, are expiring. 
Filings are to be made at the Clerk’s office at Clearwater Township Hall, 15015 State Hwy 24 NW, Clearwater, from July 29, 2014 to August 12, 2014.  Office hours are Monday 10am-4pm, Wednesdays 7am–-1pm and Tuesday August 12, from 1pm-5pm. The last day for a candidate to withdraw from the election is Thursday, August 14, 2012 at 5pm.   Filing fee is $2.

NOTICE TO CLEARWATER RIVER WATERSHED 
DISTRICT RESIDENTS
The Stearns County Board of Commissioners is seeking applicants for an appointment to the Clearwater River Watershed District Board of Managers.  This appointment would be to serve a three year term beginning August 13, 2014 and ending on August 13, 2017.   If you reside in Stearns County, are in the Clearwater River Watershed District and are interested in being appointed to said board, send a brief resume giving your place of residence and any other information about yourself which you would like to share with the Board on your qualifications or interests in serving on said board to the Stearns County Auditor-Treasurer's Office, Administration Center, Room 148, 705 Courthouse Square, St. Cloud, MN  56303 or e-mail Randy Schreifels at auditor@ co.stearns.mn.us no later than Monday, August 4, 2014.  For information on the board and committee application, go to http://www.co.stearns.mn.us/3931.htm, contact one of the current watershed board members, County Auditor-Treasurer Randy Schreifels at 320-656-3900 or your County Commissioner at leigh.lenzmeier@co.stearns.mn.us.

Notice of Candidate Filing for City Election
 
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that filing for Mayor and City Council will open Tuesday, July 29 at 8:00 a.m. and close Tuesday, August 14, 2014 at 5:00 p.m.  OFFICES TO BE FILLED:  One (1) Mayoral position, which serves a two-year term and two (2) Council member positions, which serve a four-year term.  All terms begin January 1, 2015.
 
Affidavits of Candidacy will be available and received weekdays beginning Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Clearwater City Hall, 605 County Road 75, during regular business hours of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. City Hall will remain open until 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 14, 2014.  You must state as to which seat or position that you are filing for on your Affidavit.
 
The following criteria must be met for the mayor or council seats.  The candidate:
 
must be an eligible voter;
is, or will be on assuming office, 21 years of age or more;
will have maintained residence in the City of Clearwater for 
             30 days before the election; and
must pay the $2.00 filing fee at the time of the filing.
 
The Election for these City Offices will be held on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 in the City of Clearwater, County of Wright, and State of Minnesota between 7:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

THE SHERBURNE COUNTY CHAPTER OF THRIVENT FINANCIAL donated $1,200 worth of items to the Big Lake Community Food Shelf Tuesday. The donation included 50 hams and some personal care items.
